2018 Quechua Alliance Annual Meeting

Since their first gathering in 2015 at the University of Pennsylvania, the Quechua Alliance has been working to build a strong network and community of Quechua language enthusiasts. The 4th Annual Quechua Alliance Meeting celebrates the relevance and vitality of Quechua and Indigenous cultures of the Americas with cultural activities, lectures, games, debates, and dialogues. Special guests include Quechua activist and hip-hop artist Liberato Kami, UN official of the Secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues Peoples Mirian Masaquiza, and Founder of the Quechua Collective of  New York – and recipient of the 2018 Quechua Award for Lifetime Achievement – Elva Ambía.

The 2018 Annual Quechua Alliance Meeting is organized by Penn's Quechua Language Program and the Andean Representation Group. With support from the Office of the Provost’s Campaign for Community, the Latin American and Latino Studies Program, the Cultural Heritage Center, Penn Language Center, and the Wolf Humanities Center.
