Text analysis using R - Bret Maney
I will be sharing knowledge gleaned from Matt Jockers' seminar on literary macroanalysis and the statistical programming language R. We will have a look at some of the uses of R for students of the humanities (data extraction from e-texts, stylistic analysis, topic modeling, sentiment analysis, authorship attribution) and then discuss resources available for getting started with R and this kind of computational textual analysis in your own research.
