Visualizing English Print is a major Mellon-funded collaboration among Madison-Wisconsin University, The Folger Shakespeare Library, and Strathclyde University. The project team is producing a range of tools and techniques for the analysis of texts, specifically the 20,000+ texts from 1450-1700 to be released into the wild as part of the Text Creation Partnership scheme. Jonathan Hope demonstrates some of the tools and discusses the conceptual issues surrounding text-analysis and their implications for humanities argumentation.
