Penn in Hand is pleased to bring Deaf world traveler and blogger Calvin Young to Penn for a special presentation describing his adventures in 38 countries and the wide variety of Deaf cultures and sign languages he encountered along the way. Young says that his ultimate goal is to show the Deaf community that solo travel can be safe, easy, and a lot of fun. He also aims to empower and inspire Deaf people by showing them that they can do anything they want.

Presented by Penn in Hand with support from the Wolf Humanities Center, the Deaf-Hearing Communication Centre, and Penn's ASL Program. Penn in Hand is a student ASL/Deaf Studies Club that invites Penn students to practice ASL and to learn more about Deaf community activities through attending and hosting Deaf community-centered events.
