Each year, the Wolf Humanities Center (formerly Penn Humanities Forum) provides fellowships for Penn undergraduate and graduate students, standing faculty at Penn and regional universities, and postdoctoral scholars who are interested in conducting research that relates to the Forum's topic. As part of their research, all fellows participate in the Center's interdisciplinary seminars (biweekly for students, weekly for faculty and postdoctoral scholars), as well as conferences and cultural events.

Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Humanities

Five Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships are available each academic year. Awards carry a competitive, full-time stipend as well as other benefits. Scholars spend one year in residence at Penn and teach one undergraduate course in addition to conducting independent research. Penn Faculty Fellowships

A small number of $5000 research fund stipends for junior faculty and up to $10,000 course offsets for senior faculty are available to Penn scholars in the humanities and allied fields. Application Deadline, Current CFA: CLOSED (March 20, 2017).

Regional Faculty Fellowships

Several $5000 awards are open to standing faculty in the humanities from Philadelphia-area colleges and universities. Application Deadline, Current CFA: CLOSED (March 20, 2017).

Penn Graduate Fellowships

Two $2500 fellowships are available for Penn ABD graduate students in the humanities. Application Deadline, Current CFA: CLOSED (March 20, 2017).

Penn Undergraduate Fellowships

Twelve fellowships are available each year: nine $1500 awards, two $1750 awards, and one $2000 award for full-time Penn undergraduate students wishing to conduct independent research in the humanities outside their academic coursework. Application Deadline, Current CFA: CLOSED (March 20, 2017).

Wolf Humanities Center also offers an annual Graduate Research Assistantship.
