Cutting Cinematic Dreams

Mary Sweeney

Writer, Editor, and Producer

David Lynch has been called America’s premier “dark dreamer.” Writer, editor, and producer Mary Sweeney, a frequent collaborator with Lynch, provides a view into this extraordinary world. Her works include Mulholland Dr. (2001), Lost Highway (1999), The Straight Story (1999), Blue Velvet (1986), and Tender Mercies (1983).

Joining Ms. Sweeney in conversation will be Timothy Corrigan, Director of Cinema Studies and Professor of English and Cinema Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.

Join us following her lecture for a free special screening and Q & A with Mary Sweeney of The Straight Story  (7:00pm, The Bridge: Cinema de Lux).
